DESCRIPTION:Pride means fight back! We’re kicking off a summer of queer p
 ride and resistance with a rally\, march\, and speak out through the stree
 ts of Geneva on June 7th! The LGBTQ+ community is under attack all across 
 this country based on falsehoods\, lies\, and outright bigotry. And while 
 NY state has strong LGBTQ+ civil rights protections\, the reality is that 
 being LGBTQ+ in the Finger Lakes isn’t easy. It’s often scary\, especi
 ally when local officials\, parroting national talking points\, use bigote
 d rhetoric to deny our existence. Queer\, trans\, and gender nonconforming
  people belong in our community\, have always been in our community\, and 
 must be defended!\n\n\n\nJoin us on June 7th at 5:30 at FLCC in Geneva to 
 show that LGBTQ+ hatred has no home in the Finger Lakes. Down with LGBTQ+ 
 bigotry\, up with queer liberation!\n\n\n 5:30: Rally at FLCC\, Geneva 
 — stand with FLCC students\, faculty\, and alums against bigoted rhetori
 c on campus\n 5:45: March to demonstrate our queer pride\, power\, and jo
 y\n 6:00: Speak out at the “Public Safety Building” (255 Exchange St.
 ) because we keep us safe\n 7:00: Join (as a speaker or supporter) public 
 comment at the Geneva City Council meeting to insist that the normalizatio
 n of hatred and bigoted rhetoric has no place in the Finger Lakes. Join us
  in calling for the censure of Councilor Pealer for his transphobic and ho
 mophobic social media rhetoric.
